Asher's Great-Grandpa Newby passed away Friday morning. The night before all of the immediate family got together to say goodbye to him. Grandpa Newby slept most of the time, but every now and then he would open his eyes and look at whoever was right in front of him and sometimes give a little smile. When I put Asher in front of him to say hi, Grandpa smiled and said in a faint voice, "well, for crying out loud." It was really sweet.
Morgan really loved Asher. He always had a box of Tic Tac mints on hand to give to Asher whenever we came over to visit. Asher really enjoyed visiting him, and so did I. We will miss him, but I am glad he will not have to suffer in loneliness (his wife passed about two years ago) or in pain due to his diabetes. We love you grandpa.

Carrie, This is so sweet. I love these pictures of Asher with my dad. He love you both very much. Thank you for being such a darling granddaughter to him.
