Halloween

Asher's witch face

Trick or treating with his older cousins taught him to push or be pushed. At each door he would be stuck at the back pushing his way to the door, saying "my turn?, my turn?" He was really annoyed by the people who just put the candy in his bucket instead of letting him choose which piece he wanted. But when they did let him choose he took his sweet time. He would pick up one piece, feel it, say what color it was, and then move on to another. Most people were entertained.
One lady decided he was too young for candy and gave him a package of goldfish instead. He was not happy and tried to give it back, but I whisked him away before the woman knew how ungrateful my child was for her kind gesture.

I can understand his reticence. I remember hating getting apples from nice old people. I would smile at them, but inside I would scorn them. Cute photos.
