Anticipating Spring

This winter has been hard. Asher and I have been staying home a lot lately. Some days we don't go anywhere at all. He is getting used to it and doesn't go knocking on the door to go outside anymore. He knows what is out there. Today, since it was so nice, we stayed outside for over an hour. He was running up and down the sidewalks and neighborhood driveways with more excitement that I have seen him have since...well, since last night when I put on his copter pajamas. Anyway, he was really excited which gave me hope for a future when I will feel like it is possible to give my child a stimulating environment without making myself crazy. Outside is a beautiful place. Springtime, we are waiting anxiously.

Asher's eyes are crazy blue in that top photo. I thought he had brown eyes? Did you shove blue contacts in his eyes to make them match the jacket?

Yea, winter is kind of wearing us out, too. On days when we have fun, I like the snow, but it too often leads to staying inside feeling disoriented and a little depressed. Don't green grass and dry dirt sound delicious?

Asher will be one of the few lucky children that have his childhood document photographically on a day by day basis.
