Beautiful Day

A few posts ago I wrote that Asher didn't knock on the door to go outside anymore. Well, I think it was probably the next day that he started doing it again, but now with 10,000 times more urgency. He even knows my excuses for why we can't leave that second. He brings me my shoes and tries to help me put them on. He drags out my coat. And he knocks on the door and says go, go, go, hide (outside) choo choo train (because that is ALWAYS where he wants to go, though late last night he asked to go to DI (doo wy)) When it is dark he begs to go out to see the moon.
Though I wish he would be a little more patient with me, (sometimes his knocking and begging and pulling out shoes and chanting is enough to give me an anxiety attack.) I am really glad Asher is so excited to go outside. It gets me out on mornings when I would rather just mope around the house.

This kid could not be more adorable! The eyes and teeth in that last shot are killing me! Oh how I love and miss him. For the record, I am the favorite aunt! Ash just doesn't know it yet!

Outside is good, unless of course you want to stay inside. But I agree, it is a good sign that you have an outdoorsy soul in your midst. That way it won't be all that hard to get him to go backpacking with you in a few years.
